"D'BANJ IS ANGRY WITH ME" - DURELLA

D’Banj & Durella have had quite an interesting relationship.

Probably because of their similar voice textures and music style, rumors of a rift between both acts were predominant a while back. However, all that seemed to have been put beyond them when both artistes began to move in the same circles, usually ending up photographed together. There were even hints of D’Banj signing Durella to his newly formed DB Records.

Fast forward a few months, and their love tryst has proved to be short-lived. It all began after Durella’s version of D’Banj’s “Blame it on the Money” surfaced on the Internet. According to Durella, the music community assumed that the song was originally performed by Durella and that D’Banj jacked it from him. This assumption then led to a falling out between him and his ‘brother’ D’Banj. His comments,

“I know there’s been a lot of controversy out there because of the song but ‘Blame it on the money’ is D’Banj’s song, I actually did my own version after he did his own, just trying to test my own ability. But people are saying a lot of things out there, churchilians, enemies have been saying a lot of things saying D’banj jacked Durella’s song. It’s a big lie I’m telling you.”

He also went on to say, “Actually my brother is angry with me because I did the song without seeking his permission, but not withstanding, he is still my brother, we’re still family.”

Still if Durella is to be believed, all is not lost. Because “We’re still working together by Gods grace, we’re still family. I’m happy to be doing this interview to clear the air. ‘Blame it on the Money’ is D’Banj’s song”

#BBATheChase: Evicted Annabel Plans To Team Up With Elikem

Kenyan BBA Evictee Annabel Mbaru says she plans to team up with Elikem the Taylor from Ghana when this season of Big Brother The Chase is over.

The contestant, who is currently studying for a Master’s Degree, says that the two of them often spoke in the house about teaming up in future, to grow their fashion brands.

“Elikem has a passion for fashion. We spoke at length about working together after leaving the house. In fact, we discussed having something like The Chase Tour, where we would have everyone on board doing what they do best; Cleo and Feza with their music, and other stuff like that,” said the ex-housemate at a press conference shortly after she arrived from South Africa.

Annabel or Anna Banana if you like, says being in the house has made her realize how tolerant and respectful she is of herself and of people’s opinions.

“Everything you do in that house is down to the individual… Big Brother is a fantastic platform, but it’s time-bound so there has to be a plan.”

She feels that of the couples that formed in the house, Cleo and Hakeem stood out.

“I can’t say whose relationship will survive outside the house, but Cleo and Hakeem had something there. It was nice to see LK4 and Koketso together as well!”

Kenya’s fake housemate Melvin Alusa was grateful for his stint in the house, and said that he felt he succeeded in doing what the Emeralds had set out to achieve: throw the game into turmoil!

Airtel Kenya’s Brand and Corporate Communications Director Dick Omondi said that as a company they hope to connect people and help them realize their dreams. He said being on the tremendously popular show was also helping Africa galvanise the issues it is facing and give an accurate portrayal of who Africans are and how they relate to each other.

M-Net’s East Africa Regional Manager Risper Muthamia said that Africa Magic will continue working to deliver on African content, created by Africans – to create and build African personalities.

True to its word, Africa Magic is set to deliver a string of new programmes this August, African content created by Africans.

#BBATheChase: The Oneza's Get Freaky!

Love is in full bloom for the Oneza's this afternoon.

After spending time outside in the garden with their fellow Housemates, Oneal and Feza headed upstairs for some fun, quality time. The two lovebirds rolled around in bed like big kids in a play room.

At some point, Oneal showed off just how athletic he is by picking Feza up and throwing her back on the bed.

As soon as she did that, he climbed on top of her while she giggled like a little school girl. "We're practicing for Babylon," Feza said, referring to when the two finally leave the House and consummate their love.

When Oneal put his full weight on Feza she asked him "Is this how you're going to come at me when we're doing it? Like a sack of potatoes?" A lot of the Housemates have expressed their concerns at the Oneza's keeping to themselves and not mingling with their fellow Housemates.

However, from the looks of things, these two are not worried about what everyone else has to say. Instead, they have found time to fight, make up and play in their alone time.
